Niza
Niza (The Netherlands Institute for Southern Africa) is strongly rooted in the Anti-Apartheid and Solidarity movements for Southern Africa. For more than twenty years Niza has demonstrated concrete and tangible solidarity with oppressed and deprived people in Africa.
Niza and its partners in North and South have been tackling issues of unequal distribution of wealth, lack of freedom of expression and violation of human rights in Southern Africa.
Niza has worked with several hundreds of organisations in South Africa, Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It has cooperated with many partners in the Netherlands and Europe on mobilising citizens and organising campaigns such as Fatal Transactions (FT).
