Kwere Kwere: debate about migration and xenophobia

30 March 2003
KIT Tropentheater 'Kleine Zaal'
14h00 - 16h30
Opening exhibition: 21 March

On the occasion of the multimedia exhibition ‘Kwere Kwere | Journeys into Strangess’ NiZA organises a discussion between journalists on migration and representation of foreigners in Dutch and South African media.

On the basis of material of the artwork from the exhibition, curator Rory Bester will introduce the audience of this so-called ‘indaba’ to issues of migration and life in the diaspora.

Following Bester’s introduction, a group of Dutch and South African journalists debate about representation, ‘allochtones’ and migration in the media of their respective countries.

For more information about the exhibition ‘Kwere Kwere’ or to contact the curator Rory Bester please call NiZA (Hille Linders) at 31 (0)20 5206210
